What kind of piano is recommended
Many students and parents ask about what kind of piano to own or rent for piano lessons. If a full piano is too expensive to purchase than renting one is always the next best thing. Usually most piano stores have a rent to own program or a very low price rental on new and used pianos. If a piano to own is desired it's aways a good idea to find a used piano vs. a brand new one. Usually these are broken into and feel good plus they have much less in costs. An alternative to a piano would be a full 88 key digital piano. A small Casio 66 key keyboard is not recommend because they usually are don't feel like the real piano, keys are too small and it does not have the full range of the piano. A digital piano is touch sensitive and feels very close to an actual piano, plus they have the full range of an 88 key piano. These digital pianos can range anywhere from $200- $2000, depending on the functions. However one that costs about $200 is sufficient.
