Piano Lessons

Piano lessons focus on developing strong technique, musical confidence, and expressive playing. To

deepen this learning, students are encouraged to pair piano study with music theory classes.

Music theory strengthens reading, rhythm, harmony, and musical understanding — helping piano

students progress more confidently, learn pieces faster, and gain a clearer understanding of the music

they play.

Lessons are one-on-one and structured individually for each student, tailored to their needs and learning level. Lessons encompass the following components:

Method Books

Age-appropriate and level-specific books.  Each method books are divided into levels and progress at the pace for each individual student.

Exercises/ Scales

Simple exercises are introduced to beginning students. These progress as levels and lessons develop. Scales are introduced when key signatures become part of the lesson. For the more experienced or advanced students, exercises and scales will be tailored to their level of knowledge and skills.

Companion Music

Music beyond the method book that aids in development at each level. A diverse range of music is available, including companion books, method books, and any other music the teacher and student agree upon. While classical music is strongly emphasized, musicals, soundtracks, and pop music are also utilized for both entertainment and variety.

Music Games

These games are incorporated into lessons to make learning music theory engaging and enjoyable.

Music Theory Class

Music theory and composition classes are designed to support and enhance instrumental study. Piano

students, in particular, benefit from a stronger understanding of rhythm, harmony, and musical

structure, creating a more confident and well-rounded learning experience. This can be bundled with piano lessons at a special pricing.

Lesson Structure

* Lessons are conducted both in-person and virtually. However, for younger children, in-person sessions are strongly recommended.

* Lesson Times for Children Under 10: These should not exceed 45 minutes.

* Lesson Times for Children Between 6 and 8: A half-hour lesson is ideal, followed by an increase to 45 minutes as their attention span improves.

* Lesson Times for Adults: One full hour is highly recommended.

Monthly Schedule

* There are four lessons per month, even if there is a fifth week.

* Students are charged for four lessons, and months with a fifth week are utilized for make-up lessons.

* Any canceled lessons will be made up at a mutually agreed-upon time.
